Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1995 in Stavanger and is professionally known as Aurora often stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. The singer has recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis to promote a Christmas ad from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. The singer gained further attention through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement and being fascinated at the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not for a job or a hobby however, as a chance to develop. Thus, she began her own compositions. Her sources include noted writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her affinity with Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not to gain fame but rather to help others realize the importance of their work and how they can make a difference for the world. Her mother suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order to help people realize their importance and the ways they can affect the world. The family members didn't know about it until she turned fourteen. Aurora never dreamed of being famous. She claims that she likes to write songs. She says that music is her favorite way of feeling something.
